The present continuous
The present continuous
We usually use continuous verb forms to talk about things that are in progress; temporary or unfinished.
We use the present continuous for things that:
1- Are happening at the moment of speaking:
Ex: My brothers are playing foot-ball.
2- Are temporary and happening around now, but maybe not at the moment of speaking:
ex: Now I'm looking for my job.
3- An action in progress.
Ex : are you still working for the same company?.
We make the Present continuous with: - positive form: Subject+be+verb+ing
Ex: I'm playing chess at the moment.
Negative form: Subject+be+not+verb+ing
Ex: I'm not driving very fast.
WH- Questions form:
- Where am I going?
- What are you doing?
- Who is he looking at?
